Blood Magic — Monitor¶
Monitor is the Blood Magic bloodline concerned with the hunt. Monitor lizards are fighters — apex, relentless, and precise. Monitor-bonded Qnassi lean toward tracking, striking, and refusing to lose a chase.
Threads (Monitor)¶
- Sharpened Senses — track a trail or scent others would lose.
- Predator's Bite — a natural bite attack.
- Relentless Pursuit — ignore fatigue while pursuing a target.

Modifiers: - Tracking a fresh, strong trail: +0 - Tracking an old or faint trail: +2 - Biting a target actively defending: +2
Force and Impact¶
Predator's Bite and Apex Response, when used to attack, resolve through the standard Impact formula. Ka spent contributes to Force alongside Vigor and Brawn/Precision, the same way a natural weapon would — a bite is treated as a weapon the Qnassi's own body provides.
Burn¶
Burn may be taken to: - land a bite despite a target's active defense - push venom or poison resistance past what was paid for - refuse to lose a trail even across water or bare stone
Design Notes¶
- Monitor is Blood Magic's most combat-direct bloodline — it should feel like Blood Magic's answer to a weapon, not a spell.
- Relentless Pursuit is as much a social and narrative tool as a combat one: a Monitor-bonded Qnassi who says they will find someone should be believed.
